Boston 2026 World Expo

Boston 2026 World Expo took place from 23-30 May at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The hall was very large providing a lot of space between the exhibition frames and the many stands. One of the main attractions was a special exhibition, ‘Stamps, Monarchy, and the Changing World of Queen Elizabeth II’ showing the Rolls-Royce IV used by Quen Elizabeth early in her reign. The Open Philately class comprised five 8-frame, one 7-frame, twelve 5-frame, and 7 one-frame exhibits covering a wide range of subjects. It was encouraging to see so many 5-frame exhibits indicating first time exhibitors with multi-frame exhibits. The Working Group held an FIP Open Philately Juror Qualifying Seminar introduced by Peter Suhadolc and presented by Birthe King and Liz Hisey. 20 people attended the seminar with participants from all three philatelic areas, FIAP, FEPA, and FIAF.
